About Us
22 Years
...and counting
Located on over 100 acres and 2 properties in the rural countryside of Lapeer County in Michigan’s thumb region, Celtic Ridge is the home of Sean, Aimee, Caelan & Teagan O’Bryan, and quite a few four legged friends.
Animals are and always will be a huge part of our lives. We share our property with horses, dogs, cats, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, and plenty of wildlife wandering around here on a daily basis. At last count, we feed well over 100 animals each morning.
Each spring, we witness the birth of a few dozen lambs from our flock of Shetland sheep. We also have started a breeding program for some of the best bloodlines of Rocky Mountain Horses. These horses are a special and rare breed – with currently less than 10,000 registered Mountain Horses alive in the US. This breed traces its roots back to the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, where they have been used for generations as dependable trail horses that can perform many tasks, and possess a comfortable four-beat gate. Often the horses from this breed are chocolate with a light flaxen mane.
